Hi,, I've some important question to increase Google SERP. What's the more important? Backlinks or Pagerank? I've a PR3 blog, http://patengbook.com but it need a long time for its pages to be indexed by Google. I think, it has got the PR3. You can check my latest articles at there (copy and paste each title of my blog) to Google.com and probably you will see only the homepage title (P@tengBook.com) appear and not the title of each posts. ( permalink title). Please could you help me? I've been experiencing this problem since I started blog 1 year and 6 months ago. Thank for all of your answers.
Forget about Pagerank, you want quality backlinks. Your posts are short and have very little original content (at least the ones I looked at) with some just quoting from Wikipedia. Many of the posts are very hard to understand - I'll assume English is a second language - and this isn't going to appeal to native speakers.
PageRank is really not going to get you anywhere up the SERPs.... I agree with mjewel here... Content is king, big time. You can check my blog for all that information. Anyways, you need to write longer and better articles here. Yours are vague and definitely very hard to read and understand.. Article Marketing is by far still a very powerful tactic when it comes to climbing the SERPs and getting "Quality" backlinks pointing to your site. Listen, if you need help with this, holla at me, I would be more than happy to do so..
I write 100% original article. Quotation is to give more sounds so that readers know that words is the synopsis and similar info of its. But I found others website that has no original content such as social bookmarking websites which the articles from many blogs and it has the high ranking and SERP. So, will be the more important? Long and original content or backlinks? Original content without backlinks, it will be good in SERP? Non original content with many backlinks, it will be good in SERP? Please help me. Thank You.
Page Rank IS a measure of the number and strength of your backlinks. But simply having backlinks and/or page rank is NOT going to make you rank. The key to ranking in the SERPs is having backlinks (regardless of the PR of pages linking to you) that use the keyword phrases you want to rank for (or slight variations) as the anchor text or link text in the hyperlink. Having such links is probably the MOST important ranking factor looked at by Google. I can make a page about turtles rank for "elephants" if I get enough backlinks from relevant sites with "elephants", "elephant", "elephant trunk", "elephant sounds", elephant dung", etc. in the link text even without the word elephant every appearing on the turtles page. If those backlinks are from high PR relevant sites w/ "elephants", "elephant", "elephant trunk", "elephant sounds", elephant dung", etc. in the link text, then that's even better. I prefer links from relevant pages w/ relevant link text over links from irrelevant high PR pages w/ crappy link text any. I would take 1 PRO link from a site about my topic w/ the keyword phrase I want to rank for as the link text over 10 links from PR5 pages that are not about my topic w/ "click here" as the link text. Those PR5 links w/ link text of "click here" are only going to help you rank for the search phrase "click here"... not the targeted keyword phrase(s) for the page.
I would add that if English is not your native language, you should buy articles written by native English speaking people - you can find cheap articles here in DP forums - that's what I do for my sites... I know for a fact that it's better buying articles than writing something that is hard to understand to people.
Yep high quality backlinks from high PR authority sites is the answer here. Quality of backlinks beats quantity hands down. Just launching a new service for this, check sig and any questions just let me know.
correct me if im wrong, but if you get quality back links you then acheive a higher PR score, many people say PR isnt important, but i look at it as a measure of many links you have coming in and a measure of the quality of the links. please feel free to correct me if im wrong, as im still fairly new to SEO and still learning.
PR is given based on your backlinks, but backlinks from trusted sites that are related to your niche (sites that already rank well for your keywords) are what will help you rank well. For instance, you could get a zillion free directory links and raise your PR, but the vast majority aren't trusted or focused sites, so it will increase your PR, but help not help you rank nearly as much as a trusted site. If PR was the end all, you wouldn't have PR2 sites outranking PR6 sites. If you get good related links, your PR will increase, but getting unrelated links just to boost your PR is a waste of time unless you just want PR to sell links.
PR has Nothing to do with SERP. PR is completely different and completely depends on the no of backlinks and the quality of pages where it exists. The more relevant the backlink is coming from the better it is for PR. I visited your blog and have a look at the post. Blog are very much SEO friendly and if you are writing post then make then make SEO friendly by using the keywords. 1 year and 6 months.. thats a long time you took to rank in SERP. Did searched with one title and got the title post as search result. I think you might have solved the problem. searched with this one: Batman: The Brave and the Bold Just a Game of Checkers!
If you want to increase ranking position so, amount of backlinks are very important. And you have good amount of backlinks so, your site pr will increase.
As of now most of the webmasters are not looking forward in PR but rather in the backlinks their site has.. but when they are doing the link exchange or reciprocal link exchange.. they are seeking for the PR of the site that is why it was a little bit confusing right? But for me if you want to increase your rankings in SERP just focus on looking for the quality and organic traffic..
Need more backlinks to increase the rank. You do high amount of quality backlinks from different c class ips. Obviously your site will get rank and also pr will increase... SEO Hosting | Multiple C Class IP Hosting
hi giredo, What I feel is backlinks are more important than Page Rank. Try to get more and more quality backlinks for your website and I am sure you will get good rankings Cheers!
Backlinks aren't evrything And higher PR doesn't mean higher SERPs stop bothering with PR work on serps on site + backlinks
Still PR is considered as important as SERP. Even a rustic knows the meaning and importance of PR. The more PR means more authentic a site will be as its number of vote from different websites.
The ONLY time PR is important is if you're planning on selling links... Saying PR is as important as your rankings in the SERPs is almost ludicrous IMO. This is why I say that: If a URL that has 1,000,000 inbound links from irrelevant sites with very high PR and the link text used on all 1,000,000 is "click here" then that URL is going to have a very high resulting PR... Say the URL ends up a PR8. So... GREAT! You have a PR8 URL... WTF good is that? The only phrase you will likely rank for at Google is "click here". Whoop-tee-do! You have a high PR page, but no one will know because you don't rank for $hit. It's not going to bring you traffic. Now if I have a URL with 1000 inbound links from PR0 pages on other sites relevant to the topic of my page AND those pages link to my URL with the targeted keyword phrase (and slight variations of that phrase) for my URL, my page may have a low PR (like PR1 or PR2) but my page is going to likely rank very well at Google for my targeted keyword... It will DEFINITELY outrank the page above w/ 1,000,000 inbound links from irrelevant sites w/ "click here" as the link text. By ranking well, my page will bring traffic to the site. PR is WAY overrated. While it USED to carry a LOT of weight in Google's ranking algorithm, it carries almost NO weight in Google's algorithm any more. It's only one of 200+ ranking factors they are looking at now, and it carries a LOT less weight than other individual factors. Having links from relevant pages on other sites (and your own) with link text containing your page's targeted keyword phrase (or slight variations) is probably the most important thing Google looks at to rank pages now days.
But I think PR is really important too because it is one of the requirements of google for ranking.Well, that's how I understand...correct me if I'm wrong..
Nice discussion... According to my experiance bother are related (PR and BL). Quality BL make the site rank well. And this PR give soem promotion in SERP.. For getting PR BL having an importaNT ROLE
