    Hello,
We are in #1 rank for 2 very competive keywords and we have about 20% ctr(from google webmaster source)
What can we do in order to increase this ctr? These days i'm changing site description and write down the results.
I must say that the site is a web hosting company and the keywords are "hosting" & "web hosting" - rank #1 to .gr google.

    Thank you for your advices!

I advice that increase your targeted list of the keywords and try to get the page one ranking then you can easily get improvement in CTR through organic search.

    Hello,
We are already #1 for the 2 basic terms(over 90% of the search about the niche - "hosting" , "web hosting")
However we have a ctr of about 15-26%

Keyword second one is good to get higher CTR but believe me most of the searches goes to some specific keywords like "Web Site Hosting","Web Hosting India","Web hosting UK" etc. etc. rather then a single keyword "Hosting".
If you need higher CTR then find right keywords for searches and click through rates.
Organic CTR depends on searches on keywords so I think you should optimize for right keyword which has searches rate more then your keyword.
Or you may optimize for semantically/synonyms keywords too.

I'm referring to the local google(google.gr) that our site is in the #1 rank.
What other do you suggest about higher ctr?
Or it is a good ctr of 20%?

The only way is change the description, you need to write something that attrach the visitor, then the CTR will increase

    Lifeplayer has got the goods.

CTR is obviously affected by rank, but also by meta description. I don't read greek, so I can't help you specifically - however, you should play around with the description text to see what's up (keep the original though, just in case your rankings change).

    Regards,

Instead of broad keyword targeting, I would recommend keyword phrases like affordable web hosting etc.
