Does the Like (fans) or Like box on page influence the position of a site in a search engine (google, bing, yahoo)?

 

The only people preaching buying the likes are the ones that sell them, of course they are going to favor buying them.

Don't buy likes- unless the seller is 100% ethical.
Getting likes from Twiends is again trash- imagine the number of likes on their profiles.
Once you get a good number of fans- don't spam them with shit to make money- or they will block you & your page.

Get them the natural ways:

Create a popular topic that isn't saturated.
Use SEO- Google fancies FB & will give you better search rankings.
Use long tail terms & get traffic from Google.
Create useful content & don'[t spam them.

Remember that likes don't necessarily mean traffic to your posts, it just looks good, I have a Page with just 31 likes/fans and it gets 1000 impressions per day to the content, I have pages with 4k likes/fans and they struggle to get 1000 impressions per day/per article on page. So providing quality content and gaining natural traffic is far more benficial that gaining the likes/fans. I suggest putting more energy into content rather that exerting energy into likes or fans.

People like to visit random and unique pages. So first of all make a good looking page

 

Suggest to all your friends and make people you 100% trust admins on your page, so they can suggest to their friends either. I normally de-admin them after them complete the task. Also, try to offer something in exchange for the to like, like hidden content / freebies only for people who are "fans". etc... Good luck!
