How to increase Facebook fans

I have created a facebook fan page. But I have found very few fans. Any specific suggestion to increase the number of fans? I have added a follow link in my website footer and my website is pretty new.

You can suggest to your friends and you can send direct message about your fan page to that particular Niche related people. Link your Facebook fan page to all your other social media network accounts.
You can have a discussion board, a contest, or anything which involves the actual users

 

Just keep on engaging in conversations with other members-
The more useful information you offer them the more they will comeback.

I would suggest showing a badge for Your Fan page on prominent positions on your website and include a link to your facebook page in all of your outgoing emails

 

ask any of your friends who has more than 1000 friends on their list. Ask them politely to invite their friends using your facebook page invite option. use the widget and like box on your websites, use facebook page link on email signatures etc.

 

ya use share tab in blog post so visitors can share your post so you get extra traffic and by that you can get more likes to your fan page too

Marketing and effort is the key. I tried Facebook, but I failed.

 

just forget about the easy way or buy a package , you have to do some hard job , try invites friends , friend of your friends even if you dont know them, their friends too, put a visual "Become a Fan" button in your website , work your website seo , get traffi to your website...

you either have to actively promote it or hire some one to do it for you. There are many ways to do ot such as fb ppc and invites. There are many ways to get invites. You can also use fbml to make your fan

Just to explain more, I agree you have to have your friends and family involved and keep a good interaction going. After looking at the Fan page for relivearth I see that it is for a good cause. Promote it via your email signature as well it will help, if you have a visitor calling card do put up your website and facebook page on it as well.

Also you can also drive more fans by using PPC through Facebook.

I do have a suggestion regarding the content. You're only using pictures which is a good idea but try to go for different media like videos, sharing news from around the net about the niche and the such. Bring variety on to your content. I see that the updates that are up are too periodic perhaps a little bit of time everyday wouldn't hurt. Also go around groups and fan pages around facebook that share similar interests. Interact there (not just one-liners) give your 2 cents.

At the end for your fan page to work you REALLY have to be social, go out there talk, interact and enjoy
