it also depends on the ads placement. allways a add in the end of the article will work great, cause readers are hungry for more information. and if the ads are related to your content than booooom ! :)

You can increase by placing ads at the top fold and navigation ares. Because it becomes easily accessible for your visitors and they might be interested in it. Also search engines brings in ad clicking traffic. So do SEO and get good organic traffic.

Using the large rectangle about the blog post or content has gotten me the highest click through. I have read that on many other blogs that have tested adsense placement.

To increase CTR you need to imagine your site is not your site.
You're an advertiser and the webmaster offers you to put your ad anywhere you want on his site. With any size you want (from the sizes of adsense)

Then you'll know the best places to put adsense on your site.

That's where you'll have the best CTR.

CTR of 40%-70% is attainable by doing the following:

    1. Target low-competition "buying" keywords (study the top 10 in Google for your keyword)

    2. Use 1 adsense block above content

    3. On-page SEO is critical to produce hyper-targeted ads.

    I know this from experience

I use double large boxes on the top..... Below the top Nav Bar, and found that it has put my CTR over 10% by doing so... I also make sure the colors match the rest of the text on the site.....

It has worked for me with no complaints...

Once was enough to be honest!

Additionally make your signature match the thread ....The thread is in relation to adsense.... your blog title is about registry cleaning....
