i run and operate an affiliate-based (income wise) site. i offer reviews of a few products in my niche, tons of free content, etc. i get a pretty fair amount of visitors, but my conversion rate is less then 1%. i suppose if you're marketing for many products it's twice as hard as if you're marketing for one. are there any "rule of thumb" tips for affiliate-based marketers especially when we are trying to promote multiple products? thanks.
The only thing I can suggest is that you keep testing and trying different affiliate programs and products for your nice. You will find some do much better than others and the conversion rates can be quite different.
I have rolled so many products in and out of my site. Test, test, test. Get rid of affiliate products that do not convert, and test new offers and products. Keep your affiliate efforts as targeted as possible
