I am agree with msherry...Ofcourse seo is improving your site traffic using various seo techniques but during article submission we need good quality of article content.
So if the blog doesnt require registration to comment, do you just post a relevant comment and add a link to your site in there somewhere or are we talking about sites that require you to register and you add a link somewhere in your profile?
We tell you what we know from the experience. Promote heavily for few month and then slow down the promotion. Next thing you know a lot of natural links will just come to you. As if people find you online and they just start writing about your business. Keep in mind that the business and your work should have a world class approach.
When blog commenting, do you use you signature as backlink or do you use a word to link back to your website?
You should keep in mind also that Goolgle can penaliyze you for spam if you rapidly increase the number of your backlinks. Be patient, and collect only backlinks from sites that have a great PR - that is the bottom line.
This is an interesting suggestion. Our observations on this are as follows: Pinging after each update can potentially accomplish relatively rapid indexing of the new content. Now, if a site/blog already enjoys a good amount of crawling/recrawling daily, pinging after updates would not provide much extra benefit. We've also found that if you have a) regularly updating content and b) a decent amount of link popularity (from divers sources), your daily crawl rate would tend be quite healthy. (As always, YMMV. )
Be a Social Animal and you can promote your unique contents on Social Sites which will help you in traffic although you may not get advantage of backlinks which can be obtained by various sources as discussed earlier.
Good question. Usually, a mix of practices as follows works well in the long run: 1) Some comments with a signature link 2) some with a (key)word (in the Name field) to form the link and 3) At least a few with just your name to form the link Remember: diversity, diversity, diversity. (Those who are really interested in link diversity might find my post at the thread below useful: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2572323&p=18140852#post18140852 )
To increase backlinks, you can leave your links on blog comments or youtube videos. In the next few days, I'm going to build link building bots and have a good guess where they're going to leave my links. I'm a bot builder and if anyone here ever want a bot built then drop me a line as I don't charge an arm or a leg.
Have to do various off page techniques 1.)Directory Submission 2.)Social Bookmarking 3.)Article Submission 4.)Forum Posting 5.)Blog Comments 6.)Press Release
In addition to what others said above, exert extra effort to search the internet for blogs, message boards, or forums that tackle topics or content similar to yours and would allow you to post with links back to your own website. Most importantly, gain a good impression in the online community by making your posts helpful information, not spammy or hard selling ones. Be sure that the links are in the form of anchor text or clickable keywords embedded in your post. That should hook visitors and interested to click!
Nowadays, leaving comments, social bookmarking are not the most reliable and worthy for search engines.
There many ways how you can increase your backlinks on your website, and these are one of ways of doing so. 1) If do blog commenting, you must make sure that you make a very good comment but not spaming. 2) Article submission is another way of increasing backlinks on your website, you must write your own article but not copping from anyone. 3) Press release submission will help you to increase your backlinks. etc
