you should try what this guy is saying. i tried it and it increase my earnings. if the ad links are bolded, try to bold some of your contents especially the keywords. and some names of the programs you recommend and all. blending your ads to the color of your page definitely works.
Google places a very high premium on a site's quality. If your site brings quality traffic and sales to its advertisers, you will be paid more and more. If you click on your own ads through proxy servers and the like, you'll not only risk getting banned but you'll also decrease your site's value to Google's advertisers and that will ultimately hurt your site as Google will pay less and less per click.
