How to improve the Page rank of a site?

Hi all....

It is known to all that page rank is very important as far as getting inbound links are concerned......but what are the ways of improving page rank of site.......How it can be increased?

 

if you asked this before some months ago or in 2009 then yes... building backlinks.. i mean quality backlinks will increase your page rank..

but nowdays... if you have good on-page then you will get PR 1 easily.. i mean without off-page work.. (my personal exp.)

The way it works is, a site gets a lot of quality inbound links and thus their page rank increases.

 

Think what people want to see in your industry and give it to them - it could be information, it could be an app that makes their life easier. If it is interesting or useful enough it could take off virally and bring a lot of links to your site.
