How to improve the keyword Position In SERP ?

Am currently working for a portal which needs some promotion in order to bring some traffic to the site and also to improvise the keywords position so kindly help me to find the best strategy for that website please share your opinion over here

For now
find the competitors for that keyword
Change your keyword somewhat similar to it
Target specific keyword and try to increase its PR

 

@tanmay.kamath1 - Why would you want to increase your Pagerank? It's just a number that Google uses in a way to tell the webmaster how it values his website, it's not something that will help you in search results.

All the tools you need can be found by certain software, like Market Samurai (try searching on Google) in which you can find the competitors for that certain keyword.

Start doing some SEO, search around this forum and you will find plenty of help to make your website with traffic. You need to build a lot of backlinks and write a lot of quality articles, but most important thing is to be patient, it will not happen overnight, results may come to days, weeks or even months. Hard work = good results otherwise there's no money with any work.

Yeah lot's of backlinks, if you are not interested in making an investment to build backlinks, do them manually by finding your competitors backlinks and making the same one, finding other ones with the same keyword and building them too. Today you may build 2 backlinks, tomorrow 4, after tomorrow 6 and this is how the backlinks world goes, until you make a successful website which other websites will link to yours without you making any work!
