How to improve the external link?

    I know if you want your web at the top of google,you'd better make lots of external link,but how to do that?

    I am not sure if this is actually what you mean, but you could post in social networking sites and social bookmarking sites. You could post on blogs and in forums. Just make sure that what you're posting is actually relevant to the site, because if not, your post will be deleted and you could be banned.

    Get as many relevant links as you can by forum posting, blog commenting submission to niche directories.

    The phrase you are looking for is internal linking, external linking is when you are linking 'out' to another website.

    There are many techniques, reciprocal linking with related content, blog reviews, forum posting to related content, social networking, directory submission, article submission, blog commenting, link baiting, template sponsoring, buying links (risky), and much more.

    Create good contents and submit articles to article directories. Links from article directories are considered the best in terms of its targeted nature and traffic. Other links from social bookmarking sites, forums etc. are not given due importance. Links from related niches are better.
