Try also promoting in famous social medias like facebook or twitter for these sites are widely used by common and famous personalities. Funny pictures or videos would be very catchy and would surely increase the traffic of your site.

    Go with some good and UNIQUE articles. Something about 700-1000 is a good amount of words per quality article.. Then start building backlinks to those pages. Do NOT spam! :)
