I wouldnt worry about trying to improve PR, it will come with time as you develop and continue to back link and promote your site. I would be more interested in driving traffic than focusing on page rank. You average site surfer and potential buyer really isnt interested in page rank. They just want to know if your site is providing a solution to what they are looking for. End of story.
