How to improve loading time of Website?

    My website loading time is 70% slower than others, please suggest me what activities will be helpful to improve loading time of website.

    Reduce images or reduce the quality of image, remove some java scripts if possible and if you are using wordpress then you can use WPcache plugin to decrease the page load time.

    Install the Firebug plugin for Firefox and get Pagespeed for it. It will show you what is slowing down your page loads and tell you how to fix it.
