How to improve keyword ranking in local business listing(Maps)

Hi friend,

How to improve specific keyword position in local business listing (in Maps) for local regional websites in major search engine. Our site located in Chennai, but we not listed keyword "software Chennai".

suggest me, improve position my website in local business listing.

There are many factors that may affect your rankings in Google maps. like your geographic distance from user. Apart from ‘software Chennai’, include your city name in your target keyword.
Other thing you need to do,
- Set your preferred geo target location in Google webmaster tools
- Submit your website to local search engines
- Submit your website to local directories
- Get listed on Local business listing on Goolge, Yahoo!, MSN
- Get listed on local classified websites
- Get backlinks from target country
- Citations (This improves your SERP rankings and hence your traffic)

 

try to put Google map into your website hopefully it will rank your keyword in Google map listing..

 

Make sure you edit your profile to 100% completion. Add relevant images and videos, in your description add some nice keyword density to your desired term, just like you would a page. Good reviews always help also.
