Hi! I created few ".edu" and ".gov" forum backlinks to my blog. I need to know how do i improve their power, what is the optimum backlinks should i create single profile. Also how do i quickly index them? I want to know all the profile page receive, its main domain or forum domain page rank? Should i link those profiles to main forum by posting or start new threads for get their page rank power? thanks!
Profiles are pretty much on the low-end when it comes to backlinks. I'd, instead, focus on becoming active in a handful of high traffic, niche related forums. You can drive a pretty decent amount of traffic from a catchy signature.

exactly that he^ mentions. get them from a combination of places also not just from forums imo so it looks viral and natural, like its really the talk of the town
Links from the valuable place like with more content/information which is original, relevant and high quality will be always helpful for our website/page in getting higher page rank. So, we do know that profile doesn't have enough content for helping our links in getting some power. I can say that links from the profiles are not so effective like other links (links from the content pages etc).
That means, if i create profile backlinks its useless, if I'm not post anything on that forum? I mean if I'm not link my profile to forum then its useless.

You can create a second layer to strengthen your profiles. Or, you can just focus on higher quality links. Stick to posting your profile links in your signatures though, don't post them. Webmasters will get upset.
I wouldn't spend much time nor money to build links to forum signatures...just enough to get it indexed.. It's not a type of link that would give your site much of a boost.
