    change ad position, put it somewhere where people will see them, change ad colors to match your site

    Just put it in a an area where it will be exposed more. You may want to do some blending, but don't overdo it though.

    Few simple rules is to blend them into the content of your site so they don't look so much like ads and put them in a good position, which is normally near the top of the site.

    Another rule is to not over due your ads.

    Like Mong said. Test, test, test. Move them around, change the colors, change the type of ads, and you're going to find that your CTR goes up.

    Do you have repeat visitors? I have an extremely low CTR which I believe is due to the fact tat most of my readers are repeat visitors.

    So, I basically use that traffic for other forms as advertising (affiliate marketing) as well.

    For a repeated visitors, try alternative pallets and also change location to get over the ad blindness.
