How to improve and promote a unique dating website?

I know it is hard to penetrate the dating website market, that the website must have some history and it should be unique. I am trying to promote and even improve this dating website that has been online for 5 years and I believe in it, I see it as unique and useful. I am talking about single-and-looking.com where everyone receives a free personality description and can see how compatible they are with any other member, plus they can see how the future relationship might evolve, what they might or might not like a potential partner.

 

Promote it by buying ads, creating backlinks and using SEO. Make use of the social media but also dont post staff that may get you banned. You can also place ads on most frequently searched items like porn, sports or anything you might think of. Thanks

 

Isn't it what e-harmony doing? But even if it is not, you need to really work on your design. A poor design can be a real deal-breaker. Simply go to a few popular dating sites to find out what made them popular (apart from being in the right place at the right time). One common denominator is their excellent design.

 

I have to be extremely forward about this, the design is really below standards mate, specially if you are trying to compete with big names. Also you mention about some kind of prediction tool which says how the relationship would look like in future, do you have any good algorithm to back that up or do you have testimonial to support this statement.
All I am saying is that the website is extremely old looking, it's boring and very text heavy. There is absolutely no pictures on your homepage and it does not look legitimate, fix those before spending money on promoting it. Good luck.
