Please advice me how to improve alexa ranking. Also one more question I want to ask. Are visitors using alexa search engine to search website if yes then what should I optimize my website to get better ranking in alexa search.
1. assuming that you are a honest publisher: thousands of uv/d - the more the better 2. offer alexa toolbar for your visitors make sure you have a siteinfo.xml as incentive for alexa toolbar users 3. hence tons of unique content in top serps 4. there are plenty of old threads on this topic - use search in DP forum
there have been and still are advertising agencies ( NON-adsense ) that pay according to alexa rank. hence for professionals having those high traffic/high ranking sites there might be reason enough to maintain high rank. some of a.m. companies appear to INVITE publishers into their advertising plans once the site have reached a particular alexa rank. but all these alexa-related topics have sufficiently been covered in previous extensive threads HERE in DP forum!!
Why does everyone need to reply with answers that are nothing to do with the question. The question wasn't... 'Will Alexa rankings improve my traffic?' It was...'How to improve Alexa ranking?' The OP would like to know how to improve the ranking, for their own reasons. Why is that wrong? So it might not improve traffic to the site, so what! Sorry delhidon I'm new to SEO and cannot help you but this just annoys me! EDIT: Thank you mods/admin.
that answer has been given long time ago in the first reply posted !!! "thousands of uv/d - the more the better" as well as the other points of first reply !
Just use the alexa toolbar yourself, don't advertise that "spyware" to your visitors. Alexa rank is really not a useful ranking tool; any advertising company using this as a model can stay clear of my buisness.
your alexa ranking will go up as your traffic grows. there are lot of tricks to increase your alexa rank but it just doesn;t worth the trouble as alexa rank is not a true indicator of your site's real traffic therefore has very little value
Only if you use their spyware. And you are right, it is worthless since it's very inaccurate (who here wants to tell me that the W3C has a larger following than CNN.com?) at best.
