Hey everyone - I'm new here but I've been doing this for years and I'm willing to help. I just posted a reply in Pay Per Click Advertising - Google Adwords subforum (my only other post) on finding the best keywords when you start out. The process can be overwhelming - no doubt about it. Now, to find the keywords in your site that pull the most traffic, you can do it one of two ways: First, using the Google Keyword Tool, type in your URL and hit Search. OR before you hit Search, click on the Advanced Options & Filters and follow my directions from the other post to filter to Low Competition and THEN hit Search. The words that show below will come directly from your site and will give you the number of searches. The keywords from your site that show low competition with high search volume are probably the ones that bring you the most traffic.

The second way takes more time: Make a list of the keywords from your site that you think are the high runners OR use the words that Google gives you from the Step above and start entering them into regular Google Search but with with quotations "XXXXX" around them. Then, just keep looking for your site. If your site appears on page one, then that keyword is a one of your top ones.

    Hope this helped.....

There are few factors to consider when selecting keywords.
    -Keywords with high traffic
    -keywords with less competition
-Keywords that can easily converted to sales

You have to select keywords that can easily converted to sales that have high traffic for less competition.

Relevant keywords with manageable competition. You really need a professional keyword tool to get down to the nitty gritty and find keywords that will help you rank on page one, or tell you to give up and find a different promotion altogether. Keyword research should be done before ever building a site or deciding on a promotion.

Great search need for the best keywords because sometime you find keywords with high searches and low competition but does not rank early because there are also some other webmaster who are working hard on those keywords so you also have to observe by looking at those websites who are also using the same keywords. how authority website these are at Google 1 and 2 page.

use a long tail keyword phrase. And the best way to find these words is to use tools like google keyword external and google wonder wheel to do your keyword research.

Go through the list of suggested keywords. Filter it out based on your goals and take out unrelated keywords.

And TEST them. You'll never know which ones are the good ones until you see your numbers.

You don't want a keyword that will get the most traffic to your site.

The best keyword in the world is the one that gives you the most money at the end of every month.
