Someone (even on this site!) http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1032578 is selling my script without consent. They even copied the text from my web page word for word, and linked directly to my images. In the above forum, you see other images right now because I added some rules to my .htaccess file. This has happened a number of times, but it's very difficult to get them to stop. Any thoughts on how to stop/prevent/slow down this infringement?
Nothing really, apart from reporting him to the mods or admins. If you check this he's from India. http://whois.domaintools.com/bigwebmastershop.com
I've had my scripts sold online without my consent too, I used encryption to prevent installation anywhere but permitted websites, jam-packed with callbacks also.
Thanks. I've thought about encryption (and I do freely give away an encrypted version of some of my scripts), but it's more hassle for the purchaser when they install the script. I guess I'll have to weight the effort to add encryption/callbacks to the illegal distribution of the scripts. BTW, do you have any suggestions on good callback scripts? Cheers. John.
