How to I make this layout with the blocks?

    I am trying to copy http://www.chrispackham.co.uk/ site with the blocks for the sections, the 3x3 boxes with the heading, pic and text and read more.

    Originally I just whacked in a table http://justintuijl.com/ but I want to do it properly with css but I am not sure how it is done.

    Any ideas would be very gratefully appreciated.

    Try visiting this site: w3schools.com
    They offer free instructions on CSS. It's really not that hard.

    lots of tutorial(e.g tizag.com/cssT/ , w3schools.com etc ) available for XHTML/CSS, it will help you to learn and code that website. :)

    though in truth I have never had much luck with those sites,
    which is why I asked and have stuck with tables :(
