How to hide your name/address/personal info from WhoIs?

I looked at my own website using a WhoIs, and it showed my full name, my house address, and all my other personal info. This worries and concerns me. Is there any way to block it or something?

You need to sign up for whoisguard.. It cost around $3 per year.. If you buy your domain with namecheap, they'll give you free whoisguard for the first year worth $2.78.. normally I used them..

If you pay usd6.9 more , you can get the services that protect your privacy from whois .
I had registered a domain in Godaddy with the service.

before you register and domain they will ask for whois guard ... where you can check or uncheck the option for whoisguard base on your preference

I think now also you can make your domain whoisguard.. For that you need to go to control panel at your domain registrar ..I am a dead sure there will be a link to whoisguard subscription..

I second to that. Beside cheap domain name, name.com also offer free private whois. Most of my domains are with name.com right now.
