    Buy an old (expired) domain.

I bought a new domain once and then saw that the age shows up as from 2002... I bought it in 2008!
    Go figure?

    For your existing domain:
Maybe a trick with a "Zero Frame"? But that's dishonest... your motivation is suspect so I won't tell how...

The effort you spend trying to deceive people is probably better spent actually providing something useful or creating more value on your site.

Why do you need/want to do this?
To get a higher price for a sale?
If so, you are cheating people.

No, my aim is not to cheat people, just as a curiosity, I want to know this.I agree with your point that most of the fraud can miss use this techniques and if you people think it is wrong do not suggest me any thing regarding my question. But still my curiosity will remain same.

the age of website never can be hidden.
once your web is registered and it always recorded.
date start and date expired will stay in register info as long as the domain is active.

You can't. And you shouldn't be able to.

A potential customer should be able to tell whether they're dealing with a site that's been around for years or whether it's just been set up by someone who doesn't have any kind of track record to prove whether they're reliable or not.

Curiosity killed the cat. Do not kill your website. It does not matter how old is you domain as long as u have good contents on your website. If you are planning to cheat and sell the domain because its 100 years old thats bad very bad

On second thought there is a way to do this with a "zero frame" - but only if the person checking the age were relying upon some automated age checker, such as SEO Quake.

A smart person could figure it out... but it would be a sneaky trick to pull.
Knowing this, the way to find out if the age is really the age of your site would be to right click on it and break the internal frame out of the page.

The safest way to check the age of a site is by doing a simple whois search!

    What is a zero frame? http://www.iframehtml.com/faq.html#zero-frame :)

So that's how you can do it - but this will not trick a registrar lookup. This will trick some SEO tools.

There are some legitimate reasons for using a zero frame:
    • hiding affiliate links (from link hijackers)
    • Running php scripts on a Microsoft server
    • Running other scripts seamlessly on non-compatible servers

Ya, it's a interesting question. I have seen some sites which hide their age, but how they do it, I don't know.

There is no need to hide the age of the domain because it is not something to be hide from the crawlers of the search engines.

it seem a bit dubious as to why you would want to hide it, my blog is 6 months old and i'm proud of that fact, who cares how old it is, its the content thats important, unless your trying to scam advertisers into thinking your site is old and worthy of a £1000 a month ad spot
