    The affiliate link that shows up at the vendor's site is some clickbank does. Vendors can control this with a redirect, but you have no control over your nick showing up.

    I have this simple, no hassle cloaking script, if anyone needs one.

    We offer pur affiliates quality cloaked links. This is in my opinion the best way. Potential theives do not not the vendor id so cannot jack the hoplink

    you can do like this :

    add a database with id and link fields
    add values like : "1" "clickbank.com/blabla?affid=bla"

    then make a php called x.php
    and when you go to x.php?id=1 x.php will take from database the link from the id 1 ( SELECT link FROM table_name WHERE id=id )
    and will redirect to this link

    only buy it if you are into really doing big business and having your own webdomains or subdomains.

    is there a way to create a htaccess - and refer it by name similiar to short url links but make the link look like its part of a webpage

    ex: http://XXXX.com/affiliateprojectx
    forwards to affiliate project x landing page

    Cloaked links are risky when marketing with Google. Especially if the campaign is vital to your current market strategy, I wouldn't risk that.

    Here's the easiest way - put a rediect..

    Make directory on your site such as MySite.com/myaffpro and then upload a file called index.htm , and its contents should be,

    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0; URL=http://www.YourPage.com">
    </head>
    </html>

    That's all! Simple. This isn't gonna give much, but easy.

    I think the PHP Redirect works well or you may also use the Redirect Feature from your Web Hosting Control Panel if you are using cPanel or vDeck its there for you.
