how to hardwire using hosts file

    I've tried putting the updated data center ip address in a hosts file for www.google.com and just google.com but my toolbar is not showing new pr any ideas? Matt talks about it on his blog but does not give specifics.

    What worked for me... search your drive for 'hosts' .. will be under Windows somewhere if that is your platform. Add the following line:

    72.14.207.99 toolbarqueries.google.com

    Close all browser windows, re-open.
