    301 redirect is the best solution. It passes the juice and anchor text. Virtually it's the same as original link from the viewpoint of SEO.

    If your long URL is giving you issues, maybe switch to a content management system that works with shorter URLs. That way you don't have to deal with these url-shortener problems.

    either way a long url is not good for seo i would suggest you buy a shorter domain name waste an extra few dollars but it will be worth it

    I'd think a visitor will not take a site with 255 character long url that seriously. And I don't think the keyword stuffs url will help you much, just use a normal-looking one.
