How to halve the ad waiting list (and reviewer annoyance)

All this can be automated... (I guess?)

#1 Description field has minimum length
#2 Anchor text starts with a capital if it is a letter, as with the description.
#3 Anchor or Description can't start with a symbol.
#4 One word can't be CAPS
#5 Disallow ! from all fields

That would knock out 50% of ads submitted incorrectly.

It was the case when I first started reviewing ads, I looked in today and same as always... I disapproved 30+ ads straight off the bat for these same formatting reasons.

I pm'd Shawn about this yonks ago and haven't been reviewing much lately, well in some time really as it's largely a waste of my time if it can be automated at the Admin end rather than me clicking through them having to give the same reason for denial again and again and again one by one by one by one.

Any other reasons to auto reject an ad you can think of?

Suggested this a bit back as well but I think shaun is upto his n=ts at the moment

Myself - I log on every day and the first thind I do is go through all the ads and reject the ones first

Your spot on with half could be set on an auto system ( not that I would have a clue how to do it )

Shaun I know your a busy lad but might be good to look into this as will save a lot of time :p

    1. Might be a good idea

    2. Not possible because you could end up with a proper name that isn't capitol to start either one... for example, "eBay".

    3. I can't think of an example off the top of my head, but I suspect you might run into things like #2. For maybe the name of a company that starts with one.

    4. Now sure what you mean, can you give me an example?

    5. Also wouldn't work for something like "Yahoo! Hosting... blah, blah, blah..."

#1 This would be really great if it could be a minimum length, it would cut down a lot of reviewing.
#2 Could make it first [or] second letter must be capital.
