Adsense TOS prohibits publishers from displaying adsense ads on 404 and search pages, but many WordPress publishers don’t realize that WordPress utilizes templates used for their main and individual pages to generate 404 and search results, inadvertantly making them violators of google’s rules. If you are using wordpress to publish a site monetized by adsense, you really need to start utizing the 'if' php function in your wordpress loop. I've written up a few pieces of code to help you define which pages to (and not to) have your adsense code show up on when adding them to your side bar: http://www.mypillowbook.com/adsense/5
Y'all are welcome. P.S. What does "rep added" mean? [Oh - never mind. I just saw what it was in the User CP. Thanks!]
actually that has changed in the tos and also if you become a custom publisher or better yet a premium publisher those do not apply
Thanks guys - I editted my site page so the references to search pages are striked through now. Hopefuly wordpress publishers find the info more than helpful for fixing the remaining 404 error page non-compliance thing.
I can't remove the ads from the 404 and search results page due to I am using free wordpress hosting... what should I do?
