Frequent submission, or just create a content. Google sometimes index sites without backlinks. Links speeds up the site indexing.
i think good content can bring you far. i have a site with no backlinks and PR4 using a well designed site structure works a lot too i think
Indexed != Ranked Ranking depends on a lot of things - a new site isn't going to rank for competitive phrases right off the bat. There used to be a temporary new-site boost, but I haven't seen any of that in my searching anytime recently. Getting indexed is the first step. A press release via PRWeb generates a lot of immediate backlinks and brings the spiders coming quickly, but the backlinks aren't high quality at all. A good link from an existing well-reputed site will send the spiders coming too. One good link is all you really need to get indexed. You could also do things like submitting a sitemap, or suggesting your URL directly (does that page still exist?). Ranking means having a clearly defined theme and focus of a given page and site - for small sites - and solid inbound link text can work wonders. Of course - the more competitive the more links you'll need and the higher the quality of those links. Obtaining the inbound links is a strategy you'll have to work out for yourself. There's the coop network, paid linking, wiki's, forum posts, social networking, viral marketing, and a hundred thousand non-standard ways to bring in links. It's not as simple or easy as it used to be, but it's not exactly rocket science. It just takes more work and a little bit of creativity.
my blog listed 4th for single keyword in google. erm.. took me almost 3-4 months of hard work to get there. double keyword is much easier. within week or two
yah that's really interesting! your blog is top 4th ranked for a single keyword? any tips for beginners like us?
i say 'You need to become recognizable on this keywords' what a member said in this topic is a good idea
Tons of quality backlinks with your main keyword as anchor text is the single most important factor in ranking in google.
