I'm just curious as to how people get their images on their sites indexed. Is it because of the image names?
Google Webmaster Tools has an option to turn on advanced image searching. That may help. Also ensure you have good keywords in the image filenames and alt text. I would think it may also help if those images appear on pages with similar keywords throughout the page.
i'd say file name and alt text. also don't remember meta tags of the images itself. not sure if helps but worth a try. right click the image and you can modify it there. there are also programs to do it in mass.
I've had good success by setting the alt tag and naming the file with keywords. Then turning on enhanced image search in webmaster tools. The downside is that image traffic is pretty low quality traffic. It has a high bounce rate so be careful what you wish for.
I have always used image alt tags for SEO purposes and they seem to help out. But be courteous and don't stuff your alt tags with tons of keywords. That makes for a terrible experience for the visitor to your site. Large, multipl eline alt tags will always be popping up when someone hovers over an image.
Height and width have nothing to do with it. Just listen to everyone else (not this knuckle head) and name your images accordingly and add alt tags. Then, your images will get tested. Google actually asks "bored" people what the images are. I did that before when I was bored.
title and alt attribute of the image can be the reason. But submitting sitemap on google webmaster tool could also help.
I have read this many times that they get indexed by alt tags . Can anyone give example how to add alt tags in blogger images .
Mainly it depends on the keyword that you use to name it and also how you relate it to your web content. Make sure also that alt tag is inserted.
i also suspect that google uses text on the same page too judge whether or not the alt tags are accurate. This is just my theory however.
