I have already wrote a lot of articles for my blog but I still don't find it that effective. What tips can you share?

Do some social bookmarking on your posts. Each time you write a decent post, submit it to digg and a handful of other bookmarking sites.

Put link to your site at the end of an article. Publish your articles on digg, but try to be informative and original. Wish you good like and don't give up, it will be worth at the end.

Or you could just wait until google notices them on its own. Backlinking sometimes seems to be an endless process where you need to backlink your backlinks. It's all about connections.

Of course you should bookmark but knowing your audience is key. For example, if you deal with adult content, Reddit is a great place to bookmark and can yeild thousands of uniques in just one day. However, if your post is more Tech related, a site like Digg may work better. You may also want to look into making pages for yourself on bigger sites like a channel on YouTube or a Twitter page so you can gain an audience through other sites.

If your articles are of good quality, they will normally get linked to. Make sure you are not reproducing somebody else's work - spend time on it and you will definitely get noticed.##

    Good luck

Now you have to build backlinks for those articles. You can insert them in bookmarking sites, pliggs and scuttles, social profiles, comments, forum signatures, ... You can also build a rss with their links and send the to rss subdirectories.
