How to get weight if site is new and zero PR?

If my site is still relatively new and has zero PR as of yet how can the co-op network help me? I thought the hole concept of the co-op was to help each other. If you bring a site with real content why can't there be a way that a new site still gets some benefits out of the network?

I know I can't and never will be able to bring thousands of pages into the co-op with the sites I am operating but if my site is 5-10 or maybe 50 pages of content and starts to get traffic then it still helps.

I'm just a little confused as I have added the co-op to my site but don't see any benefits of it if no traffic is generated to my site. Or am I seeing this wrong?

Does my site get shown on the network anyway? Maybe someone can clarify this for me.

    Thanks,

If you have zero weight your ads won't show.

With a new site you need to promote it through other means anyways. Link to it from other web sites outside the network. There are plenty of people who will sell you a link, but there are plenty more who will link to it for free if you just let them know about it.

When you get links, google will come around and spider your site. Once you get a page indexed, you'll have weight. The more that get indexed, the more weight you will have.

You could also suggest your site to google. That has worked to at least get the spider to come around the first time for me when I was getting started. Fresh content with text that outweighs the html code is important.

A new site won't neccesarily have 0 weight.

My new site has PR0 and has around 80 off pages (all cached by Google). There are 5 ads running on each page and my weight is around 550. You can also use the referral link to refer more people to the ad network and get 10% of their weight added to yours.

Then, wait for a PR update, so your weight goes up, giving you more BLs and better rankings, more traffic, giving you more link exchange requests and more referrals, giving you more weight and so, more links ..... then wait for the next PR update ..... and so on! Have fun. :D

Yeah, i have a new site, about 20 pages cached by google, running 5 ads, and i have a weight of 79.

yeah i know, way low, but still, it's a start. I add pages every day, google visits and the weight will slowlyyyyyyyyyyy go up. i don't mind waiting, i have no problem running the ads even though i know mine isn't really running
