How to Get Twitter followers?

I Have been using twitter since past 1 year but still I have not managed to get even a small traffic to my websites through it. I have not even managed to get 500+ followers.

I have heard that its a very powerful marketing tool but still have to know how.

Yes it's a good tool but you need to have real and genuine followers to see results. I advice using a software that enables you build followers based on keywords.
