Mr Dsouza, I think you are living in past years now a days directory submission is a complete waste of time coz google dont weight them as it has done in the past. Coming to your question on how to get traffic social media is best if you are trying to get the direct traffic and if you want traffic from SE then you have to work very hard its not the game of directories any more it has got much more complicated now..
