How to get traffic to our forum?

    We have a forum with a built in torrent tracker
    Here: www.rlstorrents.com

    But we have no members, I have setup 250 backlinks, about 75 of them have been spidered
    I have done as much SEO as possible

    But we are just not getting ANY traffic, about 5 uniques a day

    If you aren't receiving any new members to your forum, I would outsource this until you get some people coming into the forum. Try posting to other forums telling them that you have a new forum that they should join

    Your forum is good and you may have made good backlinks, but to get decent amount of traffic your must dominate Search Engine rankings for some popular keyword related to your forum. Right now your primary keyword "Release Torrent" is not very popular and your site is not in top 50 positions on Google.com from that keyword also. So in order to get SE traffic you must make yourself on first page with some good keyword.

    As this may take time, in the meantime you may popularize your site through Social Media Sites such as Twitter, StumbleUpon and peoples know about this. Communicate with others about your site and make them visit your site. Joining some other forums related to your field and let other members know about this. But be sure not to spam any of these methods by over self promotion.

    Stephen gives some good advice. If you are spending all that time building backlinks, you need to ensure you are targeting good keywords first. Here are some good free keyword tools and keyword research software. Then go back and build more backlinks targeting a more effective keyword. You could also try submitting some articles or a press release.

    Introduce some offers different Forum Like Who Wants Rapidshare Account ?.. Who want to be a moderator like this types of offers make people greedy of joining your forum & sounds like interesting also when you offers some thing Or you can introduce contests in your forum ..

    Definitely needs more color on the page with some graphics so it doesn't look like a brand new site with little content!
