When I first created my tech blog I didn't even worry about traffic, to be honest I didn't care at first. I just went and started writing 5-6 quality and 100% unique posts every single day for about a week.

I also made sure they were not boring and that they are not going on about the same thing. I did this for about two weeks and guess what? I started getting about 4-5k uniques every month. Now it has almost been a year for me and I get about 6-7k uniques a month.

Sure I did add keywords on my Platinum SEO plugin but I didn't really 'select' them because they are highly searched for and have less competition. To be honest, I still don't care about that. I didn't even carefully optimize my posts so they contained the keywords.

I often also dugg my own posts and several other things. I used Twitter alot to promote and this forum. Stick with the basics and you'll get further
