I have a poker site. I have average success with it, but I want it to grow faster. It is already SEOd I am willing to give out money for some good advertising/quality backlinks but I don't know where to start. Everybody is posting here this and that super offer, but I don't know which one to choose. Advertising networks haven't brought any good results. I can give about $200 on advertising What do you suggest?
Hmmmm... I think the best way to accomplish this in the long run is to do PPC and use a Squeeze page to collect Optin emails. You're going to have to be a little tricky as I believe AdWords and others do not allow gambling sites... so you can offer a report on your niche or an ebook, videos, etc. Of course once they optin - you can have the follow up email send them a link to the report or ebook and have your website link inside... Like I said, you'll have to be a little tricky with the PPC companies but it can get you a ton of great targeted leads, which you will make more money from down the road, either way. That's a good niche if you can get the leads!
Go to submitsuite[.]com, where you will get a software to submit your site to 1500 directories( Of course its not automatic submit). I guess this is the only way to be successful in long run. Some of those directories doesn't allow gambling related site, but those are only 10%, 90% of them list gambling website.

you could start a private freeroll tournament on a popular online poker room! people will see it visit your site to get the code to join and if your site is any good then you've got yourself some repeat visitors!
Use CPM advertising and make your banner have some hot ladies on it and it will bring in a lot of Male traffic which is perfect. It worked for me .. i paid like $0.20 per 1000 impressions and i got like 50+ clicks out of it lol
