How to get traffic that pays?

First of all, please excuse me if I posted this message in wrong section.

What appears to be the problem? Well, I have a web site (http://ad-sensing.com) with an average of 400-500 unique visitors per day. I also have Shop on it, under subdomain http://shop.ad-sensing.com where I sell AdSense e-Books for 3$. The shop also has an unique of 400 visitors on a daily basis.

The problem is that, after 5 days of launching it, I had one single purchase. 5 days * 400 visitors means 2000 people were on my site, and still only one purchase. I think that 3$ is really low price.

The question is where do I get traffic (ie people) that are willing to pay for something on my website? Whether it's subscription, e-Book or else.

Thank you a lot for your input.

    BM

I can get 500 vistors a day to my site and make not one sale, becuase the traffic is un-targeted. Getting vistors is easy, getting paying vistors is hard.

    Yep I agree with that.

My online shopping site, barely gets sales.

My other sites that offer things for nothing, of course do well

    What's your URL, Bob?

It could be the site. It could be the product. It could be that your price is too low....

I think you need to seo more since you have a prime domain. Start getting your ranks up on google as high as you can and the targeted visitors will come and pay.

I think that all the adsense ads make the site look cheap. Someone looking to make money from selling ebooks shouldn't have adsense upthere. Makes it look like you are in for a quick buck and not to add value to your customers through your ebooks.

Where exactly are people supposed to buy your ebook on http://ad-sensing.com ??? It's not very clear and thats a problem, you can't have people distracted.

Put up a sales page and direct all your traffic at that sales page. Something simple with a brief description of the product, a picture, testimonial, guarantee and a link to the payment processor. The good news is at one sale over a thousand visitors your conversion rate can really only go up.

(Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I was offline for some time)

I've added a kind of "promotion campaign" on a front page. I hope it to boost my earnings.
