Hey guys & gals, I was wondering how you were able to get traffic that was from people who you don't already have contacts with, (friends, family etc.) I'm in google right now, but I'm no where near the top ranked for keywords.. (tips?) My website just went live 3 weeks ago.. now how do I get people to see it? Thanks a lot.
Do a search here on the forum White Shadows a lot of good tips already have been posted. Don't get hooked on this seo thing though it will only make things worse. Noone got his traffic in a day or two it needs time and patience.
There's so many ways to getting traffic white shadows. As keone said, don't get caught up in the quick fix scenario, pretty much anything with "blaster" in it's name offering to send you a million visitors just aint what you want. I will say decent, basic seo practices are a good thing though. So don't discount seo yet. Most of it comes down to good quality content, good quality inbound links, and lots of perserverance. I heard a good quote on webmaster radio yesterday that went something like this - "the more you don't need to depend on google for traffic, the more google will love you". It's so true.
One good way to get traffic is to write quality articles related to your website and submit them to online directories, or anywhere you can on the web. You can always try pay per click too.
What kind of web site is it? What does the site offer? With Google you have to earn their trust if your new.
Try to optimise your homepage using a program like webceo. Homepage optimization like especially your title tags are important. Description metatags too while keywords metatags aren't to important but still worth while. Get the content down because this will bring the returning visitors and eventually they might start talking about you on thier site/listing you as a good site on their site. Then google will see these good links linking back to you and it will boost your PR but it is a start in the right direction. Also you should go looking for good qaulity sites that will add you to thier site even if it is for a recipricol link. It still will take time, years even to see good boosts.
Build a good backlinks from high PR related sites.Offer good services such as articles and tips.Promote your site by bookmarking and comment blogging.Also don't forget to target your keyword, (high traffic low competition). Traffic will come if you are in front of search engine rankings.
Try your bests to promote your site. Use different social media networks for this purpose. People will come to your site.
I trust Ben Cartright. Whatever you do...DO NOT buy 7640 backlinks for $19 package with a guarantee to get you #1 in Google within 48 hours. I just saw a website like that and I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Its now 4 years later. Would be interesting to hear where you're at now.
Sometimes you can create other resource sites using keyword domains and they rank higher more easily on search engines and you can then make links to your principle site.
You can start with unique articles, or if you don't have any obtain some PLR articles, submit them to the niches in Ezinearticles and Goarticles as well as conttribute to blogs with comments and a link to your site
Join social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, linkedin & do bookmark on dig, stumble, delicious etc. share with all your service & updated.

You seriously need to start article marketing my friend. Just a handfull of well written articles can really get you started if you do it well. Once you know how to publish articles properly you can seriously clean up. Big $$$$$$
I need traffics as well for my blog and it's been more than 1 yr. I still don't have much traffics! By the way, my blog is about beverages.
