I think traffic exchange won't help you much in getting quality traffic. Some techniques that may help you in improving traffic, - Publishing fresh audience hooking content - Get active on social networking sites (create interesting profiles, organize online contests, distribute coupons and freebies) - Get quality backlinks, this will help you in improving SERP rankings - Blogging (invite guest bloggers to your website and participate in blog commenting on popular niche related blogs with anchor text pointing to your website) - Go for PPC
just get quality backlinks through forum posting, directory submission, blog commenting, classifieds.....
Here's my best response. First, you have to know what your sites conversion is, so you know how much visitors translates into sales. Then, go to google and type in your keywords for your niche. Find the top 10 websites and personally contact them via email to see if they offer advertising space on their website, some already have that option. Not only is this effective, it positions you infront of your competitors traffic
What kind of site is it? If it's a blog it will be easier to promote using WP plugins, rather than a clone or custom site which rely heavily on SEO methods.
I was just wondering about something. Being rather new to the internet cash generating game I am trying to learn as much as I can from a variety of resources. Of course just getting started cash is rather short so I as many others are limited to low cost or free methods of generating traffic to our sites. I was just wondering what some of the other more seasoned internet entrepenuers might have done in the past for low cost traffic generating ideas?
