How to Get Traffic/Links from Facebook and Twitter?

I want to know how to promote a website through Facebook and Twitter.

i have noticed more traffic from facebook than twitter

Then make interesting tweets.

But don't forget add followers. The more followers you have the more visits you will get.

 

Create a fan page or group for your website and tell people about your website and it's product so it will help you for promoting your website on facebook.

im using twitter and facebook, but i think twitter is good in generate traffic than facebook...
