Any Idea how to get traffic from images.google.com

"Alt tags" are dead I know. Never helps.

Is it the name of the image, like keyword-in-image-name.jpg?
Or the content wrapped around the Image?
Title Header of content with the Image in it?

    Any suggestions..

All of it, but I think the most important is keyword-in-path/keyword-in-image-name.jpg.
I mean I conclude that after few searches. Search something and try to guess why it works that way...
    Reverse Engineering...

It's a combination of all the things you mentioned indeed, and ehm: good alt and title tags on image won't ever hurt you.

Alt attributes do carry weight, and it's quite easy to test yourself if you have the inclination.

Apart from this, everything you said (probably).

Thanks, but how do I test?
After misuse of alt tags by many SEOs I believe google has discounted the importance Alt tag, so I read somewhere.

They might have diluted the weight of alt text but it still counts for something.

To test whether SEs still look at alt text, just put a made up word in an image's alt text and once the page it's on has been (re-)indexed, search for that word. Your image should show up in Google Images.

Now this is something. thanks, and since you must have tested it yourself, i am very convinced... not that i don't stuff alt with keyword. :)
