Hello, I have recently started a forum related to online earning opportunities. The problem is that I am not getting enough traffic for it. It is powered by a free script named MyBB and have good and almost same features as vbulletin as long as users are concerned. Some people say that it is due to the free script I use. No one will join my forum unless I buy a paid script (It means users are only concerned with scripts not the content. Strange...). I haven't considered the script of any site uses while joining or visiting it. For example, i joined Digitalpoint forums for help, not for the script it uses. Please tell me what to do. I am very worried. I shall be very glad if someone can help me. Waiting for positive response. Thanks in advance. momi
You need content, the script really doesn't matter. I am also a user of MyBB and I have a great flourishing forum. You need to have some kind of draw to your forum, the niche that you are targeting is hugely saturated so unless you have something unique to bring to the table, then you are likely to fail with your forum.
What niche should I use for my forum while remaining in the same category. I don't know what "niche" means, I only know that something named like this exists. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Your site promotes HYIP's. Just in case you have been hiding under a rock - HYIP's are scams. You don't deserve to get traffic when you are promoting scams. Find a niche where you aren't scamming your visitors before you worry about the script you are using.
I just started it by taking ideas from other forums such as talkgold or dreamteammoney. I didn't want to promote HYIPs and thinking to convert it into "Affiliate marketing", "Work at Home", and "GPT" forum, because I also lost money in HYIPs.
it's hard to build a forum without something to offer to people for example, why go to your forum when they can go to another with more members and content? My friend was having trouble starting his forum and he invested a little money and made his forum a paid forum and got so many members that he was actually gaining money. In other words you have to offer something to your members that your competition isn't.
You mean a "Paid To Post" forum? I am thinking to start "Revenue sharing" like digitalpoint. Will this also work?
I would go the paid route until you gain enough members through the content that the paid people make... if that sentence makes any sense at all What is HYIP?
yeah sorry haven't slept in a while and try everything I've had my forum for about 5 months now and I'm still struggling to get active members but I've experimented and I think I've soon found my way.
You have a good looking style on the site, from an SEO view, I would like to see some longer forum descriptions, more threads and than build more links. If you're not posting more threads, a friend needs too.
HYIP are all scams... but if you need traffic to your site you can pay for it, ie: I know an investment forum that are paying members to post in their forums something like this... $0,07 per post (10 posts a day) $0,10 per thread (3 threads a day) $0,25 per referrer (25 posts)
