Hello there. I've just opened a website on health. I have bought some links, some SEO works etc. Can you offer me some other things to get more traffic for a new website. Thanks, in advance..

Try posting in health forums and after dozen posts try to advertise your site.

Along with the ideas above, try link building through social bookmarking with anchor text for your keywords, then ping the links you created.

I recommend you to combine those activities with social media marketing, especially FB and Twitter. Interact with other users within the same niche. On top of that you can create videos to draw the attention of users and upload them to Youtube.

It is recommended that when commenting on other "health" blogs you try to choose those with a higher PR. Some are going to come here and tell you that the PR does not matter and its out dated. The thing to remember is that quality is better than quantity. 1 link on a PR9 site is better than 10 on PR0 or PR1 sites. So, with that in mind you might want to start doing some blog searching and find these blogs. Google SeoQuake for your browser. This will help you pinpoint the high PR blogs when you visit them.

By all means go ahead and comment on all blogs. Just remember that you want links of authority and the way to get this is to concentrate on .gov, .edu and high pr blogs.

Im in the health niche also. We get a ton of traffic through the search engines for posting and marketing articles on related website and on article directories. Also we market internal pages targetting certain keywords to rank them and this has worked well.

You should consider twice if you really want to go down the health niche road. The competition is very intense and you need to put in real work in order to rank in search engines. You might succeed if you are targeting a small enough micro niche with lower level of competition but otherwise I'd just pick something else. Fail fast and keep moving.

Don't forget about Yahoo Answers. You can get steady targetted traffic if you do it properly and many answers stay at the top for years giving you long term traffic. Just don't include a link in every answer and you won't be seen as spamming and always give useful and helpful information. You'll get useful links as well.

Article marketing, video marketing, press releases are some of the options that can get you tons of traffic. Plus these methods will give you backlinks & improve your site's rankings.

you should get traffic for your health site by posting in health forums and by telling the people around you with different means like by face book or by twitter or with a PR firm.

Link building and blog commenting might be good. I would also look into a lot of health forum and network with the users inside to build community for your site.
