    Hello Guys,

I recently created a new Forum and I wanted to know how I can get traffic for the new Forum that I just create. How to get those initial posts and comments. Basically I am looking for that initial engagement in my forum that allows you to buy, sell tech stuff, talk about mobile and others.

    Any Suggestions Please?

    My Forum is at: www.forum.pricenfees.com

    Regards,
    Rahul

Go to website with the same niche as yours an participate. Show them that you know about the subject and build their trust. Once you do that, you will find more members in your forum.

put your link in signatures and post on similar sites, also invite friends to join.
If you have a bit of money, buy some advertising

People don't like to register in brand-new forum, unless it's a forum of existing people or org. So, first thing you must to do it's create some virtual account, along with invite some friends.

Make sure there is some activity in your forum before you go advertising it.
People are usually turned off by a dead forum......you'll need some friends to help you.

Forum posting and blog commenting on similar sites to your niche is one way of getting people to join your forum. I usually post on others forums to get people to join mine. One other way is to pay for forum posters, this will increase activity hopefully in turn getting more members to join.

Make sure you have activity first on the forum. Then start advertising it > submit to directories, put the link on your signature & be active on forums with the same niche, do link exchanges, use social networking sites to advertise it. There are a lot of ways, these are just few.

Start with link building so that you can get quality back links and keep updating your website with unique content. Remember this GOOGLE loves unique content. So you need to increase google's affection toward your website. and in the mean time you can get some paid traffic on your website in order to decrease that ALEXA ranking.

Be patient. The work is not a one-time task. You need to put continuous efforts to make it happen.
