how to get to the top of a search term.......

When I started out with my site I spent A LOT of time here. I so wanted to figure out how to grab a hold of some organic traffic from the big G and this is exactly what I found.

Do what you are doing. Get quality keyword rich content, relevant (maybe not) links to your site and most importantly WAIT.

I worried a lot and checked my site all the time and felt like things were moving soooo slooooowwwwlllyyy. But in all reality it's only been a little over a year and we now rank 1st on a good amount of search terms relating to my site.

So.. keep up the good work and stop checking on everything so often.

So, how do you get links to your site? Which method did you use? Is blog commenting affective or you prefer directories submission more?

I've been on it since october now and am ranking 2nd for a load of keywords I want, doesn that mean I have to wait for another 6 months for that extra place? LOL

I just can say, hard hard working and you should do that day and night. Sometimes you have to spend money too. But you should know that your competitors never sleep.
For that hard job you need to write fresh and high quality articles about your site and business. If every day, then much better. Submit your articles to the social networks too.

Quality content does indeed play a paramount role in SERP's...so it's definately worth the time/money investment, with highly targetted content that is ofcourse keyword rich!

So put the effort in quality content everybody and a bit of link building in additions pays off...

 

Your are right. In my experience, it takes time, and more time, to get a good ranking. Most people give up when they don't see results in a month or so. It takes time.
