Hy folks I've got a site with PR3 and i wanna push it to PR5 and fast. I'm a junior at SEO stuff and i need some advice. I've done some homework and i know a good way is to build backlinks by submitting to directories, link exchange programs, banner exchange, social networking platforms to name a few. Are there any smart tricks? How should i go about it?
As boring as it sounds the best way to build backlinks is to create good content that people want to link to.
If you get more atleast 1000-5000 backlinks you can reach PR5 by the next PR update . I don't know any tricks but would be interested to know some.
Content, Content, Content, and more content...and submitting to directories...and other sites willing to give you some backlinks... a good advertising budget would be beneficial...but if you don't have that...you're just gonna have to provide the content that people will like, and then you can even start asking other sites in your field if they'd link to good parts of your content... blog link exchanges are always good too
Make your sit efor the user in mind. By doing so you automatically make it google friendly. Google wants to give good search results so if you build a site to be USEFUL to that niche you will be rewarded with links fromwithin the niche and a great page rank. Content is King. Do things that will encourge people to link to you.
and since there was just a PR update....expect to wait about 90 days on that...get youself some PR6 links and you will be there though.
I registered domain at end of Jan and start blog around 2rd week of Feb and now from last PR update I got PR5, I just submit on directories and post new content on blog everyday. There have 2 most important thing that i found, first, the content and the second is backlinks
Just send an email to Matt Cutts and ask him if he could schedule a special PR update for your site next month
My blog got PR4 also, but as many other people keep saying the same things about PR5+ seems to me like you need some work to achieve that. As other people said if you don't have a big budget for that you need unique, good content and you shouldn't rely so much on reciprocal and free directories, unless you submit your site to a lot of directories.
