How To Get Them To Buy

There is only ONE way to make money online - you have to sell something. At some point someone you have made contact with must make a decision to purchase your product, service, information, etc.

YOU HAVE TO GET THEM TO BUY!!!

    Question is how?

    1. Get Emotional - this is core for effective marketing. Use copy that emotionally connects with those visiting your site.

    2. Communicate what solves their problem - too often space and time is use to talk about the product or service instead of how it will solve their problem, remove their pain, etc

If you can effectively communicate how to make a persons dreams come true or eliminate a their problem people will be more responsive to what you are offering!

Increase the perceived value of your product and make it seem as they must have it!

Provide value, over deliver, and keep them anticipating what is coming next. Give them a little bit of a solution with a promise that something bigger and better is to come. Deliver on that promise and do it again. repeat as much as needed. Build it up to a climax until they know that your product will solve their problems. Make the sale, and then proceed to keep providing great value so that you can continue to sell most stuff to them.

    You know, classic sales funnel
    free product > follow up (more free content) > follow up > .... > sale > upsell/downsell > follow up > ... > backend > ... > bigger backend > etc...

But the magic is in how you write that free product, how you write that auto responder sequence, how you engage the customers and make them admire/trust you, how you pitch the sale, etc.

If you are talking specifically about sales copy, its really not that different. Not only do you need to hit those emotional triggers but you need to build anticipation. Each headline should have 1 goal : make to them fell like they cannot wait to read the next sub-headline, headline, paragraph, etc. I am no copywriting expert, but I admire the work of people who are. Good copy amazes me. It is like a well oiled machine that some mad scientist put together.

Even if you are not (or never intend to be) a copy writer, I believe that reading copy writing books and studying on the subject is essential for success in any form of direct-response marketing. It is all about learning how to control and manipulate people so that will take the action and react they way that you want them to.

The most important thing to be kept in mind while selling a product is that you should have full knowledge of the product you are selling. It is a talent which is in less people.

emotion? :) i would doubt that. until we have a product there is no emotional attachment to it.

rather quality of product, presentation of the product are two of the main factors effecting sales.

How do you figure? How would a prospective customer have any idea how high of quality our product was before purchasing?

Quality of your product highly affects the refund rate, your reputation, and the quality of your buyers list. It does not affect your sales page/funnel.

Driving sales is all about getting quality traffic and then convincing them that you hold he solution to their problem. Hitting emotional buttons has been, and will always be, one of the most powerful sales techniques. This is used heavily in offline, online, print media, television, or any other type of sales or advertising medium. If you do not understand this it will be hard to get ahead in the world of marketing.

Being in sales, I love it when you make someone buy something from an emotional standpoint, but my favorite thing is to get those "smart buyers" to trust and ask you for advice when you yourself are selling to them

absolutely! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Sales is all about it!

And it is not about making a person actually get emotional, well sometimes they do, but it's more about making those subtle little comments that are pressing peoples buttons while they don't even realize that you are doing it.

It's like saying something that reminds them of of a time when they were humiliated, or phrasing something in a way that makes them think of being happy, and all the while associating those feelings with your product or service.

Sales is dance, you gotta take the lead, and it's the very best when they haven't caught on to the fact that they are dancing.

I have been out of sales per se for quite a while now, but when I was in sales I loved it when I did my thing. Closing provides such an adrenaline rush. Just knowing you can influence people like that makes you feel like, "I’m the man!"

as marketers, we are all in the business of selling one way or another. its the same principles as far as I'm concerned.

OH yeah, there is definitely that rush when you close somebody, you hit it right on the nose, it feels good to know you can influence someone or make them spend a certain amount of money just by saying a few key words... but what a beautiful dance
