I have an unlimited web hosting with cpanel, but i have a domain name different to that server. I have since some website that use the link to download a file from their website directly to their web hosting for example: http://173.224.118.189/cgi-bin etc. How can I get a link of a file like that to put it on my website so people download that file from the web hosting?

Sorry if this is not the answer you are looking for, your post is not very clear.

You may or may not be able to do this, depending on your hosts configuration; you can normally access your cPanel website without a domain by visiting http://server.ip.here/~cpanel.username.here/

I think its difficult to answer , because we will know place of our file on the web if connected with hosting

LOL!! No, of course it doesn't work. He just posted a link to demonstrate the information you need to use. He has no clue what your server's IP or cPanel username are.

You need your server IP, and you need your cPanel username. Substitute those in the link he provided.

It should also be noted that many hosts have that disabled, due to how bandwidth is processed when using that method.

Still does not do anything. Let me rephrase: I have a free web hosting from webs.com, then I bought just this domain "claradehuevo.net" from Godaddy.com and forwarded to "claradehuevo.webs.com. After that I won on Ebay a Web hosting service unlimited everything for lifetime. The Admin ask me for a domain I geve him "claradehuevo.net." So, he put the web hosting under that domain. Therefore, when I upload a file for example, Michael Jackson - Thriller.mp3 it gives me this link to download: http://www.claradehuevo.net/Michael%Jackson%-%Thriller.mp3 of course it would not work because of the domain. The IP for this server is 173.231.25.82:2082. So, how can I get the link like this instead: http://173.231.25.82:2082/Michael%Jackson%-%Thriller.mp3 That way it would work to download. I have seen this before, but I don't know how they do it.

I don't know where to begin with how many things are wrong with this.

Firstly, unlimited 'everything' hosting does not exist and is generally not recommended at all, especially from eBay. Just try uploading 150GB to your 'unlimited' package and see what happens...

Secondly, it appears you are attempting to setup some sort of download service, again this is a big no with an 'unlimited' provider, it's likely your account will be suspended very quickly.

Thirdly, although you used it as an example; I would assume you don't have the rights to distribute music via a service like this?

Lastly, as far as I can see, the only way to do this, is as I mentioned before; using http://server.ip.here/~cpanel.username.here/ (obviously replacing the necessary information with your own) if that does not work, then I advise you contact your hosting provider and ask them to help you, without knowing what software/setup they have it's almost impossible to give you an answer.

    - Good Luck :)

Thank you! I tried that, but it does not work. Besides, they use cpanel accelerator2.
